It was a typical night in late 1997 at the official BtVS posting board. A poster by the username of KAM commented on Xander's first dance in the episode Angel. Another poster, Little Willow, also enjoyed Xander's 'two left feet' and replied to KAM. Within weeks, the Xander Dance Club was created, and dance fans shuffled right over to join up.

In other words, Xander Dance Club was founded by KAM & Little Willow in honor of the character Xander from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and the actor that portrays him, Nicholas Brendon. The duo later created the Faith Dance Club as well. XDC is also a sub-site of Slayground.net - a comprehensive Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel website.

Joining the XDC is as easy as 1-2-3. 1 - Visit the join form. 2 - Type in your username (how you'd like to be listed), your email (so you can receive a confirmation reply), and the reasons you would like to join or your favorite Xander dance. 3 - Hit send.

As a member, all we ask you to do is shake your groove thing whenever you feel so inclined. Say, "Crazed dance party at the Bronze!" or, "Dance, pretty boy!" every now and then to cheer up a friend. Oh, and watch A Charlie Brown Christmas every year so you can do the Snoopy Dance
